Advice and Summer Project

Today we were given feedback from level 5 illustration students in regards to the brief we completed over summer. They wrote down their comments in regards to two things; ideas/concepts and visual presentation.

Notes they made on my ideas and concepts:

• Spanning out ideas (good range)
• Does not work as well as a set? - perhaps in the future use similar colour palette or something
• Think the burger image works the best in terms of conveying the meaning

Notes they made on visual presentation:

• Mixture of typography and media
• Great palette use
• Mostly composed well

The level 5 students were also told to give us three pieces of advice in regards to the course, these were:

• Blog ALWAYS
• Come into the studio often rather than doing work at home
• Talk to tutors and ask for feedback, seek guidance independently, don't expect them to check on you constantly

And one piece of advice in regards to living in Leeds as a student

• Shop at the market for fruit/veg/meat ect. Good quality cheap produce, but don't go on Wednesday's as it's not as good
